Ed Griffin is President and Co-Owner of Fleet Feet Syracuse, with his wife Ellen.
Founded in 2000, Fleet Feet Syracuse is a specialty running, walking and fitness store that helps people achieve their fitness and health goals. Fleet Feet Syracuse is one of only 3 stores in America to be named to the prestigious Best 50 Running Stores in America list all 13 years of the competition. In 2012, Fleet Feet was named Best Running Store in America and the CenterState CEO Business of the Year. Fleet Feet continues to introduce people to running through training programs, clinics and promotion of running events in Central New York and supports countless charities in the area.
Besides Fleet Feet, Ed is a partner in Upstate Event Management, which owns and operates the Syracuse Half Marathon and also was a Co-Founder of the Mountain Goat Run Foundation. Ed served as a volunteer for the Mountain Goat Run since 2000 and as President of the Mountain Goat Run Foundation from 2005-2017.
As Mountain Goat President, Ed oversaw moving the race to Clinton Square, moving the weekly Training Runs to the MOST, closing city streets for race day, the design of the current race route and the Mountain Goat Hall of Fame.
Ed lives with his wife Ellen and their two bull terriers in Pompey.
